**LADIES** - If you are booking an appointment for any type of coil or implant or a smear please book via reception and not online – thank you (and sorry for any inconvenience).

Appointments to see a doctor/nurse may be made by phone or in person at the reception.

Doctor book on the day and book in advance appointments are available online via the link at the top of this page

Some same day appointments are available from 07:00.

Telephone consultations with GPs are also available for advice, results or follow-up to some consultations. The reception staff are trained to direct you to the most appropriate service if you provide brief details of your requirements.

SMS text messaging is available for appointment reminders and some pathology results. To activate this service, please speak to a member of the reception team.

Extended Opening Hours

Some extended hours appointments are now provided by St Helens Clinical Commissioning Group - please click here for more information. If you want one of these appointments please phone the practice.

These appointments are for patients who are unable to attend normal practice appointments for a variety of reasons (including work, Carer duties etc)

Please speak to our reception team if you require an appointment through this service and they will discuss the appointments available at that time and, where possible, organise the appointment booking for you.

Emergency Appointments

If you have an emergency problem when the surgery is closed, please ring the surgery number as normal and you will be redirected to our Out of Hours provider.

If you would like a chaperone present at any time during a consultation when you are being examined, please let your clinician know. We will be happy to organise for another member of staff to be present at that examination.

The practice adheres to the Halton and St Helens Chaperoning Policy and staff have received training. An annual audit of the use of chaperones is undertaken and feedback to all the Clinicians. Please contact the surgery if you require any additional information.

When you and your GP agreed that you need an appointment with a specialist, Choose and Book shows your GP which hospitals or clinics are available for your treatment.

Your GP will discuss with you the appropriate options which are available for treating your medical condition.
